I am linking up with 4th Grade Frolics for Monday Made-It...For me, a day late.
Summer time has allowed me to be able to craft more and finish the un-finished projects on my list.
Home Made it= Wreaths, wreaths, wreaths....and did I mention wreaths? I feel like I have been a wreath making machine lately. I have made 4 wreaths in the past week, taught my friend Lindsey how to make a burlap wreath for her home, and finished an initial wood door hanger with burlap bow for my front door. I
am tired of love making wreaths! Here are my projects I've completed.
My friend Lindsey and I had a craft night Saturday night. I showed her how to make a burlap wreath! It turned out so cute. Her house has the coolest paint job ever with chevron prints, reds, turquoise and browns. She chose to make a plain burlap wreath with a P in the center and turquoise chevron bow at the top. If you can see in the mirror up there our
crazy, beard obsessed growing loving, wonderful husbands are photo bombing our picture.
The 4th of July twig wreath didn't turn out exactly like this. I wound up putting 2 more sparkler sticks on the right side and centered the American Star. I can't wait to hang it on the front door in a few weeks. I will be able to rotate this between Veteran's Day, Memorial Day and 4th of July! Super easy wreath to make.
The "O" door hanger I have had unfinished since March. *SAD FACE* I just haven't had time to go spray it or a cardboard box big enough to make a spray tent so I don't spray the yard. Not that I've done that before or anything. :) A few coats of ivory spray paint and a burlap bow later my front door looks brand new!
This wreath was fun to make too. I recently found that Hobby Lobby is carrying more colors in their burlap ribbon. My ultimate goal for this wreath making trip was to get the items to make a summertime watermelon wreath for my mom and I. Little did I know that watermelon decor is HARD to come by. There was NOTHING in the summer, spring or picnic section. So....I revamped. I decided to make 2 different ones. One orange and one yellow. My mom chose to keep the fish one and I will be hanging the sunshine one on my door after the 4th.
Hope this has inspired you to grab a cup of coffee to get your craftiness on!
